SCCHOUSINGSEARCH.ORG: this site offers an extensive listing of resources available to our community, including emergency services,and resources related to disabilities, housing, home ownership, homelessness, domestic violence, legal assistance, employment, job training, and services for seniors.

Calworks Resource Guide 2016 – 2017: This guide is published by the Santa Clara County Social Services Agency. It lists resources on housing, emergency aid, food assistance, child care, transportation, and health and support services. Some of the services listed are for CalWORKs clients, but many are available to all residents of Santa Clara County.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RESOURCES: Go to SANTA CLARA COUNTY OFFICE OF WOMEN’S POLICY for information and contacts for shelters and support, law enforcement, legal services, and other domestic violence resources.

     

COMMUNITY SERVICES

2-1-1 SANTA CLARA COUNTY: Dial 2-1-1 or go to the 2-1-1 SANTA CLARA COUNTY web site that will connect you with hundreds of community services. A trained, caring professional will help you find information and referrals for basic needs, child and elder care, counseling, employment assistance, health services, immigration services, volunteering and donating. A service of United Way Silicon Valley.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES AGENCY: Call 1-877-96-BENEFITS or 1-877-962-3633 for a 24-hour automated system that provides information on programs offered, reporting abuse, CalWORKs, food stamps, Medi-Cal and General Assistance, benefits, and much more. Information is available in English, Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Farsi. The CALWORKS RESOURCE GUIDE is a valuable guide to resources available to CalWORKs clients.

 

HOUSING AND FOOD

SOUTH COUNTY HOUSING: provides assistance on housing, rentals, buyer services, and special needs.  For information, go to the website at SOUTH COUNTY HOUSING. 

SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK: Call 1-800-984-3663 (Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM) for information on food services. For details, go the SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK web site.

 

HEALTH, COUNSELING, AND EMERGENCY SERVICES

COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS: A non-profit human services agency serving South Santa Clara and San Benito Counties, and South San Jose. Programs include behavioral health services, domestic violence and sexual assault services, and prevention and interventions services. To learn more about these services, click here.
